Our regulator

We are registered as a Legal Disciplinary Practice in England and Wales, under number 46949 with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which is the independent regulatory arm of our professional body, the Law Society. We are authorised and regulated by the SRA and must comply with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 and other regulations, details of which can be found, in English, at the SRA website.

Legal terms and conditions

The terms and conditions which will apply to any work which we do for you will vary depending on the type of work. They will be sent to you with our client care letter. If you want to see the terms and conditions before you instruct us, please ask for a copy from the person with whom you are dealing.

All of our contracts for legal services are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

We have professional indemnity insurance, as required by the SRA, under policy number P4010655 with International Insurance Company of Hannover plc, whose registered address is at 10 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 3BE. Our policy covers the part of our practice that is carried on at our offices in England.

We try to resolve complaints quickly and directly with you.  If you have a complaint, please contact the person you are dealing with at the firm. We will provide full details of our Complaints Handling Procedure on request or automatically, if you have made a complaint.

If we cannot resolve a complaint, the SRA and the Legal Ombudsman provide resolution services for certain types of complaint. Please note that complaints to be processed by the Legal Ombudsman should normally be made within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint.
